Hey folks, I don’t know if you witnessed this yesterday, but Twitter decided to give people heart attacks yesterday!
I remember I went to look at my profile to find that my followers and followings were both zero! I couldn’t believe it. I thought Twitter might have decided to play Powers That Be and just shut me down but my profile was still active, so it didn’t make sense.
My profile has zero followers and followings lol
So I logged in to my account and I could still see my fellow tweeps. That’s when I knew Twitter was being funny with me. I then went to someone else’s profile and they had the same. So it was all good. I knew that it was just a temporary issue. I checked a few hours later and it was all back to normal. *phew*
So Twitter, why did this happen?
Mashable stated in their blog that “tweet counts are currently malfunctioning for some users“. Twitter never said what was the cause of this so we just got to let it go. It’s all back to normal now as confirmed by their status blog. I do wonder why this happened – just curious really

So I just want to wrap this up by saying thank you for not resetting my followers and following to zero but I’m not happy with the heart attack I nearly had hehe.
Did anyone else encounter this? Leave a comment below and let me know what your thoughts were when you saw this if you did witness this. Also, does anyone know why this happened? I won’t tell Twitter, I promise
